I have tried disabling antivirus software. All of the things I have tried I reboot and then test after a cold start.

Is this a new install?

From the look of the log, you may need to uninstall mozy then right click on the installer and select run as Admin

Department: MozyHome – Windows

Priority: Low

*******************************************love the LOW RATING makes me feel so special

Status: Assigned

*******************************************WAIT did he just ask me to uninstall and reinstall guess what I sent them meant nothing.BUT OKAY ill bite I did what he said about uninstalling and installing as admin (even thought that’s how I always had done it.)

Much More Click more to get the rest

12-27-08——FROM ME see I gave it four days to resolve itself

Still continues to give mozyerror6 even after a complete removal and install with the right click giving full admin privelages I have let it run continues and same thing it encodes 80mb of data and then never connects to server, all firewalls and antivirus are turned off.HELP

12-29-08 8:41 am from randy burke at mozy

right click on my computer and select manage then service and application the services and look for mozy, right click on it and set it to automatic

********************************************I do this and it is already set that way

12-29-08 3:49pm From me to Mozy (the problem is still continuing)

I have found “mozyhomebackup service” in the services menu and it was already in the automatic setting and shows that it is started.

Then we need to reinstall the filter,

go to C:\Program Files\MozyHome

right click on mozy.inf ( it may just say mozy and the icon looks like a notepad with a gear on it) select install

you may need to reboot after that

12-30-08 12:06pm I do as he suggests and give it a couple of hours to run but the mozyservererror6 account in use is still the problem.I then respond and attach the latest mozy.log again.

Have tried the right click and install of the mozy.inf and it still comes back (mozyservererror6 account in use) attaching latest mozy.log and a pic of what I see on the mozy status screen,it sits like that for up to 2 hours and then gives the mozyservererror6 message.

I did check to see if I could ping r-1.mozy.data.ut2.berkeleydata.com

1-12-09 from randy at mozy

Sometimes Windows will report that a network connection is not being detected, when there really is. To correct this, go to the “Options” tab in the Mozy configuration menu (right-click the Mozy icon in the system tray, and select “Configure”), and select “Attempt automatic backups even if network connection is not detected.” This should resolve the problem and backups should resume as scheduled.

********************************What the hell did he not read my email.. I said I was still getting mozyservererror6 not mozyconnection error 1 ( I was getting that but that was because I had disconnected the internet during the day but that was not the problem I was asking him about)

From your email, I understand the issue is you are unable to backup data.

In order to help me understand the issue better, I would really appreciate if you could send me the error number, error message and the following details:

1.Are you trying to do manual back up or scheduled backup?

If you are running scheduled back up there are many changes of you getting this server error 6 and if you are do scheduled back up change thime you have selected EG:-(if it is at 5:00 change it to 5:07 or 5:08 )

Thank you for your cooperation and time. If you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to let me know.

I look forward to hear from you.

Thanks for using Mozy Support!

Best Regards,

REMOVED HIS NAME BECAUSE HE HAS IS SHOWING A BETTER LEVEL THAN RANDY
